Montessori Education Week 2026

February 22–28, 2026

Join Innovation Montessori Ocoee as we celebrate Montessori Education Week, a global observance honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Maria Montessori and the child-centered approach to learning that continues to inspire schools around the world.

This special week highlights the values at the heart of Montessori education—independence, curiosity, peace, and hands-on learning—while inviting families and the community to experience what makes Montessori unique.

🌿 Why We Celebrate Montessori Education Week

Montessori Education Week is recognized internationally each year in late February to honor:

  • Dr. Maria Montessori, pioneer of modern education

  • Child-centered learning, focused on independence and discovery

  • Prepared environments that support hands-on exploration

  • Peace education, respect, and global citizenship

Today, Montessori education is practiced in more than 100 countries, serving children from early childhood through high school.
