Reviews

Thank you to our parents, staff and students for sharing their school reviews. We appreciate every kind word and work hard provide an authentic Montessori education in a public school setting.
"A Truly Transformative Learning Environment: IMO has been an incredible gift to our family. This is not just a school but a community that nurtures curiosity, independence, collaboration and compassion. Classrooms are beautifully curated to each plane of development, where younger children are inspired by older peers who strengthen their mastery through teaching others. Fostering intrinsic motivation builds self-awareness and responsibility.
Children are deeply in tune with their learning and they grow at their own pace rather than being dictated to.
Discipline follows a restorative justice approach, instilling empathy and accountability instead of fear. Peace Curriculum is woven into their DNA, creating kind, compassionate, inclusive global citizens.
The commitment to the environment is inspiring: solar-powered campus, retention pond for sprinklers, and no single-use plastics. We feel lucky to be part of this thoughtful, forward-thinking community that honors the whole child." - Kristen Labelle

We started at IMO many years ago. My oldest was just 3 years old and he was one of the first to walk into the brand new primary/Casa campus. He is now 11 years old and in 6th grade marking the completion of his time at IMO primary and main. Next year he moves to the high school to complete secondary one and two. Over the years I’ve seen the best and worst of this school but time and time again they rise to the challenges and find a way to thrive. I trust them to care for all three of my kids and have watched them all thrive in their own unique ways.
Montessori is not traditional school and if you expect the kids to all learn the exact same thing at the exact same time it may not be what you’re looking for. But if want your kids to find their own path and move on their road then this school could be a great fit. If you value respect, community, and inclusion then this a great school for you. We are very happy here. - Tina Skipper

"Innovation Montessori Ocoee has been a fantastic fit for our family. The school's beautiful, farm-like setting and spacious, nature-filled campus are a huge plus. The classrooms are well-equipped with high-quality Montessori materials, which has made a noticeable difference in my son's engagement and love for learning. He is excelling in his multi-age class, which allows him to learn at his own pace and develop both academically and personally. The staff and teachers are truly dedicated to guiding children to develop their character and a strong sense of community. This is a school that values who your child is becoming more than just their test scores. A special thank you to all the teachers and to Ms. Hilda for her incredible kindness and understanding. She saw our son for who he was during a difficult moment and has become a true friend to him." - Leandro Troiana

"This school is an amazing community with the rare opportunity to experience a Montessori education in a public school. The new campus is a true reflection of their vision as well, and I’d definitely recommend you take the tour. My daughter, who is three, really loves her “big kid school,” and I love that she will have the same teachers for three years so they can develop a lasting relationship." - Jackie D'Antonio

"What an amazing school! We are thrilled to be able to send our son to an authentic Montessori school at no cost. Each child is able to learn at his or her own pace in a caring and attentive environment. The teachers are wonderful. They all know my son's name and he is greeted with a smile every morning. The community involvement is wonderful." - Pamela Goldsmith

Innovation Montessori is such a wonderful school. My daughter started at IMO when she was in VPK and is now in 7th grade and I am so grateful we are a part of the IMO community. The teachers and staff are absolutely amazing. My oldest is over at the school’s secondary campus this year and it has been an amazing transition. I have been so impressed by the way her teachers have continued to challenge her academically while also fostering her independence and her love of learning. My youngest will hopefully be joining the CASA program next year and we look forward to continuing our journey with IMO for years to come. I am so glad we found IMO all those years ago and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school that will give their child a strong academic education while also encouraging them to be wonderful and kind human beings.
The IMO community is TRULY a gem. First, it's rare to find a public Montessori school that extends to 12th grade. We enjoy the benefits of a more personalized, high-quality education without the cost of private school. That alone makes the campus worth a visit to see how it all works. Definitely jump on the next school tour!
Our family has been part of the IMO family for seven years and all three of my kids have thrived in their own unique ways. As gifted learners, they are supported in both their challenges and their strengths. I especially love that they had the same teacher(s) for three years in each of their elementary classrooms. That consistency provided the safety and trust they needed to grow into independent learners.
Most importantly, the leadership, staff, and parents cultivate a community rooted in acceptance, inclusion, and compassion. To me, that's what matters most during these formative years. There really isn't another place like it! - Michelle Hamilton

I will like to say that i love this school! I love that my kids always get nourishment in their hearts, that they are creating a seed that will bloom within them. that will always guide them in their lives journey. It’s a school that help kids thrive thru their own potential where it breaks stereotypes and one shirt fits all. I can see how my kids get influenced and also fortified good mores, virtues and values. I also love how they model for them to have love and empathy for others by starting that within themselves, so that way they can also be a healthy contribution to society. They develop skills that go beyond physical form, it’s definitely a solid foundation for the rest of their lives. That will be used as a tool for guidance. I have a pre-k kid and a 10th grader. - Adriana Nieto

My two children have gone here from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and my son has continued on to be a high school senior this year! A public Montessori tuition free charter school is a uniquely differentiated experience that cultivates independent thinking and personalized instruction. The guidance support at our school is also very strong for secondary students. Truly caring teachers and a strong board and staff combined with an active PTO makes for an awesome community. The small school environment ensures your child will not be lost in the shuffle! - Kristen Chase

I was searching for alternative school for my daughter and was so lucky to join Innovation. My daughter started 4th grade and my son started Casa last year. We have only been there a short time, but I have already noticed such a big difference in my kids. They are more independent and curious learners. I can’t say enough about the teachers here. Everyone is so kind and responsive. I love the regular updates with pictures, emails, and videos. - Hien Le

We love this school so much! We knew we wanted an alternative to traditional public school for our boys, so when we found Innovation we felt like we hit the jackpot! Our boys started there in Prek and now one is in 7th and one is in 3rd. We love the community here, and how both boys (both very different learners) were made to feel seen, heard and successful here. Ms. Cathy (principal at elementary campus) is incredible, and so is the rest of the admin team. We've loved all the teachers our boys have had and love that they still love to learn. As a two mom family, we were looking for a place where our family was not just tolerated, but accepted with open arms. It is so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by everyone on campus. We love how much diversity is celebrated here, and would recommend this school to any family looking for a new school for their kids. - Diana McCarthy

Great place to empower our children to become well adjusted contributing members of society. The school emphasizes peace and self directed learning. All three of my children have attended here since kindergarten and my oldest graduates this year. They also have a travel program run by an amazing teacher which allows them to travel abroad in the summer. My son went to Italy and Greece and next year to Japan. - Jean Diaz

I would absolutely recommend IMO for students and parents. My daughter struggled in traditional public school and since she began at IMO she is happier, excited to learn, and proactive in getting her assignments completed without being asked. Since we began our Montessori journey at IMO my children have become more empowered and take initiative to learning and being active in their school community. They enjoy going to school and learning. IMO also builds a great community for the parents and promotes engagement through volunteer and fundraising activities. My experience within the last 3 years at IMO has only been positive and I look forward to many more wonderful years. - Emily Subryan

We absolutely love this school! It excels not just in academics but also in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a broad perspective of the world among its students. The strong involvement of parents makes communication seamless when any issues arise. Many teachers have their own children enrolled here, which creates a welcoming atmosphere where they feel approachable and relatable—not just as educators, but also as fellow parents. It's a community that truly supports both students and families. - Osmarlyn Lamas

Both of my daughters were struggling in traditional elementary school, and it broke my heart to see them losing confidence in themselves and their love for learning. Since transitioning to Innovation Montessori, the change has been incredible. They are now thriving—engaged, curious, and excited about school every single day.
The Montessori style of learning has given them the freedom to learn at their own pace while still being challenged. They feel empowered, supported, and truly seen as individuals. Instead of dreading school, they now look forward to it and often tell me they never want to go back to a traditional classroom.
I can’t thank Innovation Montessori enough for creating such a nurturing and inspiring environment. It has completely changed how my girls see themselves as learners, and as a parent, that’s the greatest gift I could ask for. - Maria Sanchez
